After spending thousands of dollars on vet fees repairing damage done to our cats by marauding Toms, and passing motorcars, we decided that any future cats would be “house cats”.
On arrival in Perth and finally acquiring two kittens, the plan became a fact. Surfing the internet provided Dave’s contact number with pictures of his very innovative cat cages and aerial walkways.
Discounting the loud cries of ‘cruelty’ from the rest of the family, we decided to go with the advice offered by our local Australian vet who assured us that given enough room to play and chase each other as well as toys, cats are more than happy to remain inside.
A call to Dave in Southern Australia reassured us that the cages would arrive in flatpacks with all fasteners, tools, steps and hammock included. He assured us that they are easily and quickly erected. Due to my workload we called on the assistance of an obliging local handyman and our cat cage and walkway were installed in no time at all. Since the house we are living in is rented, our friend the handyman was also able to assure us that it will be just as quick to uninstall when the need arises as nothing is permanently fixed.
Our cats now have their freedom to lie in the sun outside, sleep in the hammock or on one of the corner steps in the shade, chase each other all over their house and ours and still be perfectly safe from all danger.
So thanks to Dave and his careful packaging, we are all happy and free from worry.
